On August 28th, 2021, Nicole and I boarded a plane in Detroit and made our way to Anchorage, Alaska by way of Minneapolis. This was our first trip since the pandemic started, so that came with all of the extra struggle and anxiety that comes along with major travel during a pandemic. I won’t write too much about this trip, other than to say it was life-changing in a way I never expected. I will, however, let the photos we took speak for themselves. We took over a thousand photos, and these are the ones I’ve selected to share. Alaska pushed us both in ways we could never have anticipated. It is a rugged, wild, raw place, even in the populated areas. It is a place that can and will change you, if you open yourself to it.
